Skip Hire
We hire skips that are suitable for domestic, commercial or industrial use, from the smallest skips to roll-on/roll-off. Our skips are delivered and collected to suit you, and we believe that we are the North West’s most efficient and reliable skip hire company. We dispose of all waste at our own dedicated recycling centre.
4 Tonne Skips
As a guide, a 4 Tonne Midi Skip is suitable for small to medium jobs such as kitchen and bathroom refits, smaller building jobs or garden clearances. Generally, this size of skip will take between 65 and 85 bin bags full of rubbish.
8 Tonne Skips
An 8-Tonne Builders Skip is ideally suited for larger building and renovation jobs. It is capable of holding 180 to 240 full bin bags of waste.
Roll-On/Roll-Off Skips
We also offer 20 Yard and 40 Yard Roll-On/Roll-Off Skips for the biggest building jobs.
Other Martlands Services
As well as hiring skips, we are also farmers and collectors of fallen stock, farm waste, butchers waste and food waste collection as well as suppliers of top quality topsoil, haylage and rubble.
We also undertake factory clearance and we are subscribed to the “Fallen Animals” scheme.

Martlands Ormskirk Skip Hire business has been operating for over 100 years. We are based in Burscough, Lancashire, a few miles north of Ormskirk. Martlands is a family-owned business that has been trading for over 100 years since William Martland was contracted by the British Military at Lathom Remount for the slaughter of horses unfit to go to war in the early 20th Century.
